During the last 30 years, Wöss & Partners has advised large and medium sized companies and government entities in all aspects of corporate and business law, mergers & acquisitions, trade and customs law, competition law, labour and social security, intellectual and industrial property and foreign investment.

Wöss & Partners engages in corporate and debt restructurings, mergers & acquisitions, negotiations with investment funds and complex corporate matters. It also takes care of the day-to-day legal matters of its clients in all aspects of business and corporate law. Wöss & Partners is well-known for the drafting of complex international contracts in the automotive, pharmaceutical and technology sectors and under transnational legal rules such as CISG and PICC. 

Its partners have been involved in some of the largest mergers and acquisitions in Mexico including Astra/Zeneca, VA TECHNOLOGIE AG – Rolls Royce Energy Distribution and Transmission business, VA TECHNOLOGIE – Sulzer Hydro, the acquisition of Italmex by Solvay and the acquisition of Italmex from Abbott Laboratories (who later acquired Solvay) by Mega Pharma in Panama, and the acquisition of a reinsurance company in Mexico as well as the corresponding merger notifications to the Mexican competition authority.

The firm also advised Mannesmann Röhrenwerke in the acquisition of the steel pipe manufacturer Bresmex after having successfully restructured the company. It has represented Ecofrío in the negotiation, structuring and closing of financial agreements with an investment fund, and it also lead the joint-venture negotiations between Backaldrin and Cremería Americana to a success.
